Celebrity Buzz: Famous for Varicose Veins

Do you ever wonder why the older celebrities get, the longer dresses they pick for their red carpet show-offs? They still slave their bodies regularly in the gym, they’re not getting any fatter, and still have plenty of time to catch some tan on the beach. So what is it that makes them opt for all those long gowns instead of little black dresses? Fashion trends, I hear you say? Maybe not exactly.

Famous long-legged beauties always appear flawless on the magazine covers. But when you take a closer look, you realize that it’s not all gold that glitters. Mundane conditions such as varicose or spider veins can affect anyone regardless of how many film awards they possess. As a matter of fact, their lifestyle makes celebrities more prone to vein-related conditions than most of us unimportant human beings. Wearing extremely high heels from the moment of getting up in the morning is usually the culprit of bulging bluish veins that mar famous females’ limbs.

One of the most famous ‘vein’ celebrities is undoubtedly Sarah Jessica Parker. Her devotion to wearing high heels non-stop not only in Sex and the City episodes, but in real life as well has probably contributed to very obvious veins on her legs. Parker is also very fit and slim, and skinny legs just have it harder with veins than the chubby ones. In the case the Sarah Jessica, one has to ask why wouldn’t this otherwise beautiful actress simply do something about her legs that are currently looking like a 3D county road map.

Emma ThompsonAccording to estimates, 25 million of Americans suffer from varicose or spider veins. Getting an advanced, high-quality treatment these days is not as difficult as it once used to be. Specialized clinics will take care of the problem with minimally invasive procedures, no downtime, and pretty much zero pain and risks. Emma Thomson is of the celebrities who underwent a varicose vein procedure and is not ashamed to openly admit it. That’s why this 55-year-old English star can now afford to show off the legs a 30-year-old could envy her.

Varicose and spider veins can be delayed by regular exercise that supports healthy blood circulation. The risk factors for developing them are so overwhelming, though, that at some point hitting the gym just won’t do. Once they appear, these hideous twisting veins will keep you company forever. So be smart and get rid of them! You might not be walking down the red carpet any time soon but showing off smooth young-looking legs in shorts counts too!
